Hey bloggers! I am happy to report that I was able to add myself as a contributor. I tried to access this site when you first sent it out, but for some reason, I was DENIED. Anyway, I'd been meaning to check back and Kramer further enticed me at lunch the other day with stories of personal assistants (where can I get one?!) and breast piercings of sorts. I hate that I've missed out on so much, so I've spent some time (don't tell the boss!) today retracing history. I'm feeling better now that I'm up to speed! Not much new to report with me, as I've shared a few recent pics of Michael with you all. He continues to do really well. A little behind in matters of some development (but right on target with his corrected age of almost 6 months), but he's an all-star eating his cereals and vegetables. We'll be introducing fruit soon! I've been taking him in for oral motor therapy for 4 weeks now, and he's doing well with that. I look at it has preventive maintenance. Hopefully doing therapy now will resolve any issues that could come up down the road when he starts talking and eating real food. He goes in for an occupational therapy eval in about a week. That will help us address his fine motor skills which need a little work. All in all, he's at the stage where he's learning something new every day. I hate that I'm not there for him all the time and have definitely been more stressed out between my insanely demanding job and wanting to be home with him etc. etc. I try to keep everything in check and just enjoy every minute I have with my miracle baby.
John had carpal tunnel surgery on both his wrists recently, and has recovered well. He still expriences some soreness after driving all day, but he doesn't have the pain he was having before surgery, thank goodness. He would wake up in the middle of the night in pain sometimes. I felt so bad for him.
Tomorrow marks my 3 year anniversary with Harland. Holy crap. Where does the time go? Actually, I feel like I've been here much longer than that. I don't know if that's a good thing, or just reinforces that this job is sucking the life out of me!
Well, I better get back to work. Looking forward to this weekend! (Though, as I mentioned to Kramer, not looking forward to putting on a bathing suit! Who has time for the gym?!)
