OK - so after that previous post, I figured we could all use a few smiles!
The attached photo is a picture of my friend Jamie's son, Liam, pushing Loki on his toy fire engine. Now, you might think that the bigger boy (and older by 5 days) would be pushing the smaller boy around...Oh NO...not OUR son...he's not the manual labor type. He's much more managerial than that. Loki won't have anything to do with PUSHING the fire engine, he's much more of the managerial type, directing Liam along the way. He kept sticking his hands out pointing out the way. And just look at that knowing smile...he's OBVIOUSLY got this ALL figured out!
This is the very same toy fire engine Loki's Nana gave him on his first birthday to help him learn to walk. Well, as evidenced in the photo, it isn't working!!! At 14 months of age, Loki STILL doesn't walk.
Now, he's a champion "rider" and quite the speedy crawler. He's even become an expert furniture surfer and can even surf walls, at this point. He's just not quite ready to go it alone. I'm REALLY hoping that he's walking by the time Evie is born. I know it will mean that he's more mobile and quite likely INTO just about everything - but I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to bend over to offer my fingers of support so the child can walk through the house. It's already taking a toll on me. That and the fact that carrying a 14 month old, 30 pounder and a 28 week old (gestational age), 12 pounder, is just about more than this mom can handle. PHEW!
Keep your fingers crossed that he'll be walking by the Fourth of July!!!

House, I love his face! I can't wait to see him (and you, Jason and baby bump Evie)
Looking forward to playing with the little man! My fingers are crossed that the Bunn family will be celebrating the 4th in O-Town ;o) xoxo
My parents were told that I'd spend my life in a wheelchair because I didn't walk. My dad still cries when he tells the story. I was 2 years old and one day just got up and walked to my mom. Maybe that's why now I can't sit still, so look out!!!
