Mama Drama

Today would have been a GREAT day to talk to you ALL ~ though it's also been the sort of day where I just don't feel like talking to ANYONE!

I know you've all had them and I'm sure you can all relate!

Ugh...I'm just a little down...caught up in some most RIDICULOUS drama of the "In-Law" variety.

I never expected to have "in-law" drama. I thought that I could surely beat the odds...and even if I couldn't beat the odds, SURELY, I could handle it. I was an RA - I've had "Conflict Resolution" courses. Besides, I'm reasonably likable, right?

I feel like I've been wacked in the face by a 2x4!

Anyway, I won't bore you with the details - just a few quick glimpses to satisfy your curiosity:

Imagine a controlling MIL who had been keeping her grandson nearly full time but was slowly being weened down to part time, when said grandson got into daycare and part time turned into only occasionally. So, now, said MIL spends her days and nights sobbing since the "light of her life" has been taken away from her and he "might as well be dead."

And the child's mother (controlling MIL's horrid DIL) is to blame as she is the root of all that is evil in this world and no good can come of her - and as a matter of fact, overly controlling MIL will NOT be watching next child even if evil DIL asks her to because she "will not get attached to another child only to have that child taken away from her, too."

All of which I could probably live with EXCEPT for the fact that we have just realized that our financial situation pretty much mandates that I "return to work" rather promptly after said baby is born and umm the daycare that Loki is in doesn't offer any sort of sibling discount. So, while I didn't REALLY want to have to ask crazy MIL to watch our newest addition, I was running out of options and now, I guess, I just ran out.

Sigh.

We'll figure it out. We always do. There are just these extreme moments of "Aaaaaaaaccccccckkkk"!!!

And I'm certain, that alot of this "drama" is partially magnified in my mind because I'm pregnant. So, that being said...I'm moving on!!!

Reagan.....

Here is our little fish swimming the weekend she learned. This was 3 weeks ago, now she is crazy girl and all over the place. You'll see this weekend.

We have had Hannah and Jeanette here since Wednesday and before that, Reagan was down there for a few days. Today we went to the zoo and had a good time.

Can't wait to see everyone this coming weekend.

Crissy's Got A Gun...

That's right...my very own bb gun. You see in the morning when I go out to feed the cats and Hendrix walks toward the front door for his breakfast these nasty, loud, ugly birds swoop down and peck at him. So much so that he's got permanent fur loss and scars. So I finally broke down and bought a little gun to solve the problem. You should've seen Elena and I in the front yard just now taking target practice with beer cans in the tree. We're regular rednecks!! Anyway, we called Hendy out as bait and here came the birds. I got a pretty good shot at one of them. But the neighbors kids were out playing so we had to call it a night. I don't think it's good for them to see.

I'll be busting them up in the morning though, you better believe it. I love my gun.

Besides that I've been working a lot which is HOT!! My goodness is it hot in that damn truck. My parents were just on ANOTHER cruise so we had Buddy to watch. Also one night we had all 3 kids too. Brian and Laura wanted to go out with some friends so we watched the kids. 2 funny Angelina stories. First, Elena and I both have little pig shaped piggy banks. You know little ceramic banks. My nephew gave me mine so I won't get rid of it and I don't know where EJ got hers. But anyway, Angelina was playing with Elena's and she set it on the arm of the sofa. Yes, you know where this is going, it fell off. Smash on the wood floors into about 250 million little pieces. She immediately starts crying because she thinks she's going to jail or something. So I tell her no biggie just stay where you are so we can sweep it up, etc. So the crying finally stops and Elena and I are cleaning up the mess and Angelina says, "Aunt Crissy, at least it wasn't your pig, right?" Ha ha ha

I laughed so hard she must've said it four more times. She is so funny. She's a screamer and a little hard to please but very funny. Second thing--my parents in addition to the dog have a love bird. Of course the bird can pretty much fend for himslef for just 5 days so no need to transport him up here. So when Angelina asked why I was watching Buddy, etc. I explained it to her. Then she asked well who's watching Sweet Pea. So I tell her that really the bird is okay for just a few days, he has enough seed. And she replies, "Yea, Sweet Pea has his own life." Hee hee hee

So now we are back to our normal life, no dogs, no kids and that's how we like it. For now. If we didn't have 5 cats we'd probably have a dog(and maybe a kid). :-)

See y'all at the 4th. I'll bring my weapon. JK :-)

Grab me some peanuts and cracker jack

These are pictures of Reagan's first baseball game. Her dadda picked her up early from school and took her to a Jacksonville Suns game. When I asked her how it was, she said it was "totally awesome"
