Knee/Ankle update

No knee surgery!! YIPEE! Also no ankle surgery--however this might change--still YIPEE!!
Sean saw the ortho and he did not tear any knee ligaments but did tear an ankle ligament. He is in a walking boot for his ankle and a knee brace. He was told to be on crutches for at least 3 weeks--no weight on it!
We are just thrilled that he doesn't need surgery--you know how I live to worry! We might actually get to go to Cancun. Now our budget is the issue!

Alanna is coming to visit on Saturday. We are going to the New Kids on the Block concert and she will be here until Tuesday. So excited. I haven't seen her in a while. I really miss her.

Anybody doing anything fun for Halloween? I hope to see some pictures of our little ones in costume (hint, hint!)

ALOHA Buds!!

Hi there...I am back and starting to catch up on sleep, work, my Mom's upcoming walk this saturday 11/1 and craft show next weekend 11/8 etc. I am sending all of you big hugs! :o) Kate - Thanks for the fun videos of sweet Reagan and your shop updates. I can't wait to come up soon and help you! It was great to get your update Stace! Michael is getting so big...I can't believe he will be 1 in a few days. He is a cutie pie. Keep us posted. Turn I am so sorry to hear about Sean and his leg...we are keeping him in our prayers. I am sorry that you have to cancel your trips. Hang in there and please keep up that smile. Cris I am glad you are a busy bee with work...don't work too hard! How is wk going? Hows - would love an update...hope the Bunns are doing well!

Our trip to see Blain and Loretta was great but, way too short. Hawaii was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I will do my best to give you a recap and send a few pics but, I will email you more pics later. We enjoyed seeing where Blain and Loretta live...they have a cute place. We arrived there and they had all the fixings ready for a fabulous little picnic. We enjoyed our picnic at Griffith park which is just beautiful. Then we hiked up to the Griffith Observatory and enjoyed the view. It was great being together and hanging out. The rest of our trip consisted of eating and visiting...just what I wanted. We also enjoyed some fun on their Wii...that was a lot of fun. It was definitely hard to say goodbye. We all miss each other so much! Here is a pic of us on top of the Griffith Observatory...it was quite windy.
Then off to Oahu for 7 days. We were busy bees on this trip. We certainly tried to cover the island. We were greeted with leis at the airport and during our time in Oahu we enjoyed a tour day visiting Pearl Harbor, beautiful beaches, Dole Plantation (yummy pineapple whip dessert!), great views from the island, lunch and much more. Also, during our stay in Oahu we enjoyed snorkeling, beach time, great restaurants and food, a luau, shaved ice desserts, hiking to top of Diamond Head (volcanic crater), sunsets and much more. The city of Honolulu where we stayed was very touristy so we ventured out quite a bit on the island. Here are pics of us at the luau and of sunset at "sunset beach".

Then we flew to Maui for 4 days. Between the 2 islands I think that we like Maui best mainly because it is more laid back and relaxed and doesn't have the city atmosphere like Honolulu but, we did enjoy both. In Maui we enjoyed a 4 hour snorkel trip and saw beautiful fish and sea turtles! We also drove and hiked Haleakala National Park...huge volcanic crater and we reached 10,000 feet at top....it was like we were in the clouds. We treated ourselves to a spa treatment...I used the fab spafinder gift cert and our Marriott hotel was right next to a Waldorf Astoria resort and for the heck of it I picked up a service menu for their Spa. Well, it was not much different than Marriott. So we enjoyed a couples massage...and we got to enjoy all the spa amenities for an hour before our treatment...special aromatherapy pools and massage showers etc. It was the most incredible spa I have ever been too....love it! So, thank you again for the gift cert. We enjoyed the massage! We also drove the Road to Hana and saw beautiful sites and waterfalls. It was just breathtaking! :o) Kirk was also able to do a night dive which he really enjoyed. The beaches and food in Maui were also amazing. Here are a couple of pretty pics from Maui - the first is from Haleakala crater and the other is from the Road to Hana.

It was certainly a trip of a lifetime! Who knows when we will ever be able to go back? But, it was totally worth it and I am so glad we did it. It was great to getaway and it felt really good to experience this amazing trip! Hawaii is beautiful...even more beautiful than I imagined! :o) It is nice to be home though. I missed you guys!

love ya,
Krame

Just too cute to wait

I wasn't able to get these on Reagan's site, so I am posting them here for you guys. Enjoy.

Couldn't you die!?!? Isn't she just the cutest thing you have ever seen (not counting Michael's pics, those are so stinking cute! and Loki, I need to see me that baby and SOON)

What a year it's been!

Hi all,

Just wanted to share some recent pics of Michael. He's about to celebrate his first birthday, Nov. 1. I can't believe how quickly this time has gone. He came into this world in a whirlwind and life has been a whirlwind ever since. I cannot tell you how much fun it is to watch him grow and learn new things every day. I simply cannot wait to get home from work every day to spend some time with him before bedtime.
He's doing so well developmentally, nearly caught up to where he should be had he been born full-term. He's finally enjoying the joys of crawling, though he'd much rather focus his time on standing and learning to walk. He also enjoys trying just about every table food I offer him. Loves cinnamon toast in the mornings with mommy and hummus on veggie crisp chips for a snack. He's got 5 teeth now and desperately needs a haircut, though John insists we wait until after his first b-day. We'll see about that.
The joy of having a child whom you love so much/unconditionally and who reciprocates that love ten fold is indescribable. He brings a smile to my face every time I think of him. So, I just had to share.

Everthing else is good too. I've come to the conclusion that there will never be any "down time" in my job ever again, which is a bit disheartening, as I feel as though I have aged 20 years in the last year trying to "balance" my "career" and the desire to spend as much time as possible with Michael and be there for his countless appointments. Did I mention I have a husband and dog who need my attention too AND a mom who survives the challenges of her daily life with the grandparents and running a business by venting to me. But, I'm not complaining, b/c life is way too short for that. I'm just TIRED.

Hope all is well with everyone. Think of you guys OFTEN. Love ya.

Renewed from Vacation

So I am back from my little vacation. Actually I got back late Sunday but just now got organized enough to give you all an update.

My parents and I just really chilled this past weekend. They live in a planned community so there are two pools, two workout centers and parks everywhere.

Thursday, we toured the city, since it was my first time there. I also got a little tour of the community. It is really well planned, with small houses on one side and the big houses on the other. Of course, my parents live on the small house size with the other retirees. BONUS-my mom made all my favorite dinners!

Friday, we went to my massage! They got me a 50 min massage at a new place in town. It was very nice. We then went to the pool for a while and just chilled. I cannot tell you the last time my parents and I went swimming! It was difficult trying to hide my tatoo! My mom and I laughed about that!

Saturday, we went shopping and out to lunch. Sunday, I left.

It was a great vacation because nothing was scheduled and I just chilled. I think I read an entire book while I was there. It was also great because there was nothing to worry about there. I did miss Sean so much that I think I called several times a day (the time difference was pretty hard to get used to!) . You can see how brown it is there, that was hard to get used to!
Side note--Sean had his MRI on his knee and ankle on Monday. He goes to the Doctor again to see if he needs surgery and if so how many. He has been a great patient. He even did laundry while I was away! He is amazing.

May the hard work begin

I now own 2 studios. I got the keys tonight and handed them the check. Starting tomorrow, I will be knee deep in pottery and dust and mess and clutter. The girls really did a great job of cleaning up the space, but it still needs a lot of work to be up to my standards. Wish me luck and I will post progess pictures as soon as we make some progress.

Off to Arizona

I am going to see my parents for the long weekend. I forgot my camera so that sucks.
Oh,Sean saw the Doctor and his "probably" has to have surgery on either his ankle, knee or both. Needless to say, our Nov. vacation might be off. Our trip to Cancun in Dec is off too. SUCKS!

Have a great weekend all.
So excited to get away!

Crutches....again

Sean is on crutches again! Long story short.

When it rains hard, we get water in our house by the front door. Not much, like a circle the size of a small bowl. For those who have seen it, the steps end at the front door. Thursday night, Sean tucked me in, I have been crazy tired lately, and had the laptop in his hands. I then hear him yelling, Ouch, help! I run down stairs, topless mind you, to see him on the ground at the end of the steps. I grab the computer and look at Sean. He is in great pain. His left ankle and knee are already swelling--I mean big time. We get him to the couch and start putting ice and frozen veggies on both his knee and ankle. After waiting 20 min, his ankle is huge and his knee looks bad.

Oh--did I mention he had to go to Tampa for work on Friday AM? We put an ankle brace on him and a knee brace he uses for working out. He goes to Tampa on Friday and gets through the day. What a trooper!

Sat AM he decides that he should get his leg checked out. We go to hospital (same one from my surgery--we will never go anywhere else in Miami!) The x-rays were negative of both--good news. We get referred to an orthpedic dr--not so great news. The ER doc actually told his he doesn't have a lot of experience with knees so he doesn't want to give us false information, so he would rather us see an expert--I was floored--I am so glad he told us the truth and didn't bullshit us. Anyway, the put a cast on Sean's ankle and give him a large knee brace. The ER doc thinks he injured one of his ligaments. This might mean surgery. SUPER!

So I spent the rest of the weekend doing housework, until I watched the Gators win (sorry Stile, had to mention it), and took care of Sean. He got some good drugs which is easing his pain. The knee actually hurts him the most. It really sucks seeing him in pain. I wish I could take it away!

One bright spot is that Sean has today off so he called the Ortho. He has an appointment on Thursday AM.

I am still going to see my parents this Wednesday for the long weekend. It would really upset them if I cancelled. Sean and I talked about it and our landlord, Jason, has offered to help shuttle him around, if necessary.

Tonight's mission is to get Sean showered with a cast on his foot.

I will sign it from all of you!! If you have any special requests let me know!

Now I'm going postal...

First off congrats to Katie, awesome news.

Turner, you still have time for a baby. Imagine if Sean were a girl and you wanted a baby, that's what Elena and I go through. :-) I'm just joking(well not really) but in no way comparing us to you guys having to wait for conception. It'll happen. Everything happens for a reason. Things happen in threes, right? So, Sean finds a new fantastic job, you guys maybe find a house(closer to us) and then POOF you're pregnant. That's usually how it works. If the Devil Rays can get this close to the World Series and LSU beats UF again tomorrow, you WILL have a baby. Keep us posted on the cyst.

In keeping with the great news, it seems my mother's lump is not malignant. They want to do an MRI just to be positively sure but my mom is of the opinion that is they can say it's probably not then it must not be. Because if they had to come back and tell her that it is well she could sue I guess. But anyway, that was MOST excellent news.

Then...unknowingly, my postmaster put in for me to have "dual appointment". What is dual appointment? I asked the same thing. It means I can be a carrier like I am now and also a clerk. That means that now each morning I'll go in at 6am (YESSSS, I love early morning jobs) and case the PO Box mail and be done between 8am-9am. So that's 2-3 hrs every morning and then I still have my whole day to do book stuff with Elena. It's a dream come true really and I didn't even ask for it.

So I've been getting called in a lot more too now, I've worked 3 days this week. I love it.

Anyway, not too much else going on. Time to go start dinner. Talk with everyone soon. Boy you really lose touch if you don't check this blog everyday.

Adios!!

It's over, but actually it's really just begining!

Here is the email I got about 20 minutes ago:

Hi Katie

We are all in agreement with the new offer. Please draw up the new letter of intent,

Have a good day!

Debi, Faith, and Valerie

So, I guess "it's on like donkey-kong"! I will stop by their studio tomorrow and give them the letter of intent and a deposit and we will be ready to rock and roll.

Wednesday, October 8, 2008

So, they countered

I'm not suprised, but I just wish they had sent me an email with their counter offer earlier in the day, so I could have talked to my people, crunched more numbers and sent them my final offer. Now, I have to wait till maybe tomorrow or Friday, which was my origional plan anyway. I emailed Elisa the new offer, which isn't much higher, but maybe they will take it or maybe they won't. I will continue to keep you posted. Basically, I either buy it, or I don't. I don't have anything to loose either way. The customers are already going to come to my studio if theirs is gone, so it's a win-win for me either way!

Off to Paradise! :o)

I am trying to finish up work projects before I scoot out of here and learn how to hula :o). I am here through Friday. While I am out of the office....I have delegated my job to two co-workers. I think that things will be fine. I am super excited and can't believe our trip is here already. We leave this saturday and return Thurs 10/23. I admit that we are very blessed and lucky to have this opportunity. I would NEVER imagined going to Hawaii until I was retired. It is a trip I have always wanted to take. I know my Mom was pleased and excited that I was going. So, I am going to go and ENJOY! Life is way to short not to enjoy every moment, right?

Things are good here. We have been busy busy with crafts and GM's bday dinner. Her dinner was Sunday night and it went really well. Dad, Kirk, Blain, Loretta, and I paid for everything for the dinner...that was our gift. Grandmom was overwhelmed. There were 11 dinner attendees total and it was sit down. Dad had the suggestion to wear white button up shirts and black pants to serve... I wore a black skirt. It was very cute that he suggested that...that is totally something my Mom would have suggested. Too Funny. Grandmom had a wonderful time and so did her friends...they seemed to enjoy being served. We had a full bar, Appetizers: Shrimp Cocktail and Bruschetta, Entree: Poppyseed Chicken over egg noodles with asparagus almondine. Cake: Carrot Cake from Publix but, it was done with the basket weave design and flowers...it looked very nice. The flower arrangements looked great and the table was set with formal everything. All her friends were very impressed and are still talking about it. Grandmom said that she doesnt think anyone can top her party. We are glad she enjoyed it and I know Mom and Aunt Jackie are too :o).

By the way, our team "Paula's Sous Chefs" have raised $3,325 so far! Wow, huh? I just know we will make it to our $3,500 goal...maybe even over :o).

Well, we need to get packing tonight and I also need to finish a few more things for crafts so Dad can keep it going while we are gone. It does feel strange to be gone for so long but, it will be FUN. I am also very excited to see my bro this weekend. I told him I really don't want to do too many things because we are only there for 1 night so I would rather just hang out together.

I promise to take lots of pictures on our trip (you know Kirk will). Kirk is home sick today so we are trying to get him well before our trip...he has a dr appt this am. He is determined to get well.

So, off to Hawaii we go...we are still in US so feel free to give me a ring on my cell and keep me posted. I will miss you guys! Keep Smiling buds!
Love and Hugs :o)

Update #745

So, today was interesting. I had a customer come into the studio and was complaining that they have gone to Achy Breaky twice and both times it has been closed and today she left them a not so nice note telling them that they will not be going there anymore. I quietly informed her that I am in the process of buying it and she just about kissed me. She said they had a note on the door saying that for Monday and Tuesday they will only be open from 5pm-8pm and closed as usual on Wednesday. Are you kidding me? No wonder they are going out of business. And, this customer said this is not the 1st time this has happened to her!

So, following this customer spending $142 in my studio (thank you very much), I get a call from Debi, the 3rd owner of ABC (Achy Breaky Ceramics) and she asks if we can move up our meeting from Friday to Wednesday (yes, tomorrow). So I inform her as long as she emails me an answer to the last few questions I sent over, that I didn't see a reason we couldn't, but I would need to meet her after 8pm because Reagan likes when I put her down to sleep. So, there we are.....I emailed her my letter of intent and proposal about 5 minutes ago, so we'll see. I am sure they will probably counter my offer, but I'll keep you posted.

Allen update

This blog is a great way to keep in touch but makes me realize how boring my life is! We have been just going about our business. We have been hanging out with a couple here in Miami, TJ and Christine. They are really good people. They just had a baby on Sept 24! Griffin Lee Kriss. We got to meet him when he was 10 days old. So cute. He looks like his dad. I got to hold him for hours on Saturday. It was great! Sean even held him! He was a little tense because Griffin was so delicate but Sean was a trooper! He pretty much sat on the couch and didn't move!

Sean is still looking for a new job. Well, he looks once in a while.

I am going to my parents next weekend. I am leaving wednesday and returning sunday. I am looking forward to it. My mom is already asking me what meals I want! Funny. We are going to just chill and hang out. Sean cannot go because he has a trial but I have to use my vacation before it expires!

Don't know if I mentioned it to everyone and sorry if I didn't but I got some not-so-great news from my OB/GYN. I have a different cyst on my other ovary. This means we have to wait to see what happens, if it grows or goes away, before we start fertility drugs. I am really scared I will have to have surgery again. 80% of these types of Cysts disappear on their own so that is good. I will have another ultrasound in November and go back to my Dr. first week in December to figure out the next steps. Oh, the Sean's sperm analysis was not all good either. Needless to say, I am very frustrated and upset, since lack of patience is one of my many faults. It has actually taken me 2 weeks to talk about it. My mom wants me to join a support group. We shall see--I already have you all!

Anyway, this is the latest. Please keep me updated on the happenings, GM's party, Michael's first b-day plans, the new store, remodeling tips and the latest personal assistant story.

Update #4

So I met with the landlord today and I think that she is going to be a cake walk compared to my current landlord/corporation. She is just a 30 something school teacher who doesn't really know what she is doing. Do you see a trend here? Anyway, she was really agreeable to my requests and seems like she would even entertain the idea of actually selling me the space in a year. That would be great because I know my mortgage would be much less than rent, and with rent you are basically throwing money down the toilet! I am going to get my proposal done tomorrow and send it to the girls on Wednesday then meet with them on Friday. I am putting a closing date of 10/22 to give them time to get all their junk out and give me time to make calls and arrange the signage and stuff like that. Looks like I will probably close the store during the last week of October, crank out the rebuild as much as possible and then just pray that the cash money starts rolling in. I am super excited about starting a new challenge and I just know in my gut that this is going to work out. Keep praying for us and thinking good money juju.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can

So, I am basically running on just a few hours of very interrupted and distracted sleep, but I have come closer to a decision. After speaking with the studio consultant, Elisa, who I hired for Doing Dishes (hereafter referred to as the 1st or main studio), I feel a lot better about how I was feeling. She basically agrees with Brian and I that we aren't going to loose anything financially if we have the ability to get out of a lease without penalty. Meaning, if I buy the studio, in a year it isn't doing well....I just pack it up and move all the stuff to the 1st studio and sell it off there. That is assuming the studio pays for itself from the start, which I am, and Elisa are, fairly sure it will do without a problem. Elisa's 2 main concerns were 1: That I have a small, needy, demanding, adorable, lovable, smoochy baby at home and 2: That staffing a 2nd studio will be as fun as toothpicks under your fingernails, a fact I currently deal with at the 1st studio. She suggested I offer the Achy Breaky Girls a whopping $3500 clams and then politely asked them to get their junk and stilettos out of my studio. I agree with her and I was even thinking of going a bit higher, but I like the way she thinks.

I am meeting with the landlord tomorrow and after seeing a proposed lease, I know there will be some heavy negotiations. Luckily or unluckily, I have been screwed by my current lease at the 1st studio, so I know what to ask for and what to try and get away with.
  • I am going to ask for 2 months free rent due to all of the repairs that she and I will both need to make.
  • I am going to ask that the windows be replaced or removed and re-caulked.
  • I am going to ask for the AC unit to be her sole responsibility, as well as the roof leaks that I already know about.
  • I am going to ask for a 3 year lease with the ability to get out after a year with no penalties.
  • I am going to ask to make the sign as big as possible, compared to the Crappy pink one they have now!

I just need a manager and I don't know if I can count on Heather as a manager. (I dropped the idea of a partner, I mean do I really need that drama?!) I know I could find one, but it's always easier to go with the known, rather than the unknown. Plus, it's Christmas time soon and I will have to train someone and train them FAST if I hire outside. If all of this works out, please know that if you can come help, we would love to have ya. It was the help of you guys that made the 1st studio possible and I am forever grateful. I am thinking of closing the 1st week in November, but we'll see, it may be the last week of October, just depends on how fast things move this/next week. Wish me (and Brian, poor guy) much luck.

Spinning, painting and book shopping

This past weekend (our weekend starts on Thursday) we had back to back to back book sales to attend so we've been from Maitland to Inverness and back home to Tavares and are loaded up on new stock. In between of course a stop at Wheel of Fortune yesterday and boy was it hot!! So it's a total crap shoot, you fill out a short application, drop it in the bucket and are selected completely at random. ME? Not selected. We stayed for 2 shows yesterday(3 each day) and no luck. So we're skipping Sunday dinner and going back for another try at all 3 shows today. I would've been so good yesterday at solving their puzzles. I got this one way before anyone else with these letters:

EVENT

_ _ N _ E E
_ _ _ _ _ N _

BUNGEE JUMPING Elena was just amazed, and rightfully so. Anyway, I giving up the 2 most important things today(family dinner and football) to go to this so I better get my chance to shine. Afterwards, I'm headed to Apopka where my mom got me a home improvement job based solely on those pics I sent you guys. Okay so it's just my brother's house but he's gonna pay me. And for all the heartache he's caused recently I'm taking it!!! They had water damage from Fay so he got insurance money so I don't feel so bad.

Anyway, that's all we're up to. Elena is sick, AGAIN!! She has ridiculous sinus issues/allergies and it's really getting annoying for both of us. Other than that we have another book sale tomorrow morning and then we can stay put for a while. Our house looks like a library turned upside down. Enjoy your Sunday and Krame tells Grams HB from me and Elena.

Pictures of the space

http://www.flickr.com/photos/21300539@N03/?saved=1

What do you think? I know it needs work, but nothing urgent. They are very messy and totally unorganized, which makes me CRAZY!!!

I don't know if I am 100% in love with the location, I need to find out more info about the demographics, rent, lease info, etc.

I have emailed my studio consultant to see what she thinks. I have a good feeling about the whole thing, as crazy as it is, it just may be too close to Christmas and the end of their lease for it to work out. More to come as soon as I know it.

High on a Mountain Top

This post is brought to you by the Bunn family & the letter B!

B
oulder or BUST! That was the Bunn family motto this week. One of our old roommates is getting his PHd in Bassoon Performance - and we were out there to see one of his PHd recitals. The preformance was SPECTACULAR and we had a GREAT time.

Loki bagged his first peak (that's what they say when you reach the summit of a tall mountain - you "bagged" the peak)! He got to meet Wade (WB's best friend) & Jibboo - Wade's boxer!

We, of course, made sure to squeeze in a little extra time to eat bagels and catch up with Banjo Billy. We wanted to chat with him about bus development. Despite our fall out, he was VERY helpful and offered us alot of really good advice and tips for building our wild bootlegged speakeasy on wheels!

I must admit, I really do miss Boulder. It's so beautiful, there. And life with the boys is SOOO laid back. I was definitely BEDAZZLED for a few days. I remember moving back to TN because I wasn't sure if the baby and the boys would mix so well. And as it turns out, they DO!

It's definitely been a little weird revisiting all of our old stomping grounds - first San Fran and now Boulder. I don't think we're quite ready to leave Tennessee but we really enjoyed living in those places - that being said - there's a good chance that we'd enjoy living anywhere!

How crazy am I????

Ok, I know the answer to that, but listen to what I may be up to......

Local pottery studio, Achy Breaky Ceramics, announced they are closing at the end of the month. Selling off their entire inventory, supplies, ceramics, etc. I call them to see if they had entertained the idea of selling the entire studio, meaning I would have a second studio. Yes, that's what I said, I asked them if they would sell the whole studio. Of course, they said yes and then proceeded to give me a price that made me just about hang up the phone (way too high). But, I am going by there tonight to see some of their numbers and see what their space looks like and what their deal is. I am not going to buy another studio on my own! Heather, who was once my manager before she got pregnant, may be interested in going in as a partner. Of course, it will be Doing Dishes, and mostly mine, but she would help with some of the up front cash. She would also be in charge of that studio and marketing and so on. It's really up in the air and I am sure Brian thinks it is a horriable idea, but I think it may work and if it's meant to be, it will.

More to come......

The Wheel of Life

Thank God Wheel is in town for 2 weekends cause I just couldn't make it all the way down to SeaWorld last weekend. It was bad enough that I had to rush through work just to try to beat Elena home from her cruise before she saw the bathroom without me being there to see her reaction. Well I can say it MIGHT be the happiest I have ever seen her. She actually had tears in her eyes. I think she was more excited to see the bathroom than to see me after a week. :-)

Anyway, she absolutely loves it and wouldn't change a thing.

So this Saturday is the Wheel of Fortune thing, after work. Katie that was really funny how you wrote your comment like a puzzle, witty!

In other news I have some absolutely horrific news which I wasn't going to share until we know for sure but my mom found a lump in her other breast a week ago. She went to the doctor and he felt it too but said it's not necessarily cancer, blah blah blah. She has a mammogram scheduled for Tuesday and now Tuesday can't come fast enough. Nobody knows except me and my dad. She wasn't even going to tell us until after Tuesday but the other day she called me while I was in Goodwill with Elena and I could tell in her voice something wasn't right. So when I asked what was wrong she told me and made me swear not to tell my bros and sisters. I nearly broke down in GW and poor Elena thought someone was dead from the way I was crying.

Anyway, my mom is really kinda having a positive attitude about the whole thing and trying not to think about it(yeah right). I spent most of the day with her today and she's been pretty good. She has already scoped out a surgeon and an oncologist since her last time with this she was in NY, so she wanted to get a jump on finding good doctors here. This really fuckin sucks. I sit here and try to figure out why these things keep happening to good people, but that is time wasted.

So keep my mom in your thoughts please and I'll let you know on Tuesday what comes of her test. Love you guys!
